Government also can get the benefits
of innovative N*Grid technology.
N*Public can create a virtual
computing infrastructure for government.
It enables government to reduce
the expenditure of budget and
to enjoy high performance computing
by maximizing the utilization

Highlights>
National Grid Inc.
has provided its service to government institutions,
such as the Korean military and the National
Meteorological Service. The national meteorological
service had a need to process vast amounts
of data in near real-time for accurate weather
forecasts, especially in running simulations
on rapidly evolving weather patterns and meteorological
information. Using N*Grid¡¯s middleware solution,
the Korea Meteorological Administration was
able to create a localized grid network for
sharing computing resources and data. This
increased data flow and analytical computing
capacity enabled the previously limited weather
service to provide more accurate weather forecasting
than previously capable. The military project,
for the Capital Defense Command, enabled the
sharing of distributed command information
over the battlefield. Therefore the command
was able to exchange information real-time
over the web, making it easier to monitor
task processing, communicate and allow faster
decision making.
